If I am honest I have now gone to write this blog post 3 times and I just have not been able to get down the 2021 reflective notes that I wanted to share with you. You know those times when the words just don’t flow? Well that is this blog post. Until now!

So, like what we did for the best part of the past two years - we pivot - say hello to the tips and tricks I love and have tried and tested myself and with some of my clients to not only get organised, but help you to feel like you are kicking all the goals too. PLUS the things that I am implementing in my business this year that are going to help me level up and make my biz work for me (instead of the other way round!).

So let’s dive right in…

Tips + Tricks to help you on those tough days (& get organised in general!)

We all have them, ‘those’ days are completely normal, however, there are certainly things you can do to help get you through so here are my top 5 tips and tricks that myself, my biz buddies and clients love:

  1. Block out and break up your day. What do I mean by this? Well those who know me well, know it has been a wild ride to get where I am today going from hustle to peaceful flow. I’ll let you in on a secret - taking breaks and working in sprints can actually help you to be more productive then just pushing on. So go on, colour code those fun breaks into your diary and watch your productivity soar.

  2. Ensure you have cheerleaders ready to cheer you on at all times! Support and community is fundamental to your growth and success in your biz. You cannot and should not do it all alone! My go-to gals are The Cheers Squad, I have been part of the squad for a good few years now and I can honestly say - when you surround yourself with like-minded cheerleaders, you can do ANYTHING, even on the tough days.

  3. Write an ACHIEVE LIST for the next day at the end of your day. By waking up and knowing what your day looks like straight away you don’t waste that precious morning energy trying to work out the priorities for the day but rather JUMP RIGHT IN and GET SHIT DONE! I also love to do a Master List on a Sunday night (or even better on a Friday afternoon!) for the week ahead so you are ready to hit the ground running on Monday morning.

  4. STOP putting ALL THE THINGS on your achieve list when you know you aren’t going to get through them all in the day. This just leaves you with a sense of un-accomplishment at the end of the day and is demotivating for you. When things come up throughout the day, pop them on a seperate list and schedule them in accordingly instead of growing that days list. YES to feeling like you have ticked off your ACHIEVE list at the end of the day, girlfriend.

  5. Organise your platforms, programs, emails, calendar to do lists etc! If you aren’t already using a productivity management tool such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Trello, JIRA - then I highly recommend you get on this bandwagon and watch your productivity soar to the next level - never stray off track again! There you have it: 5 tips and tricks to help you get organised in your business for 2022 and make it your most productive year yet, even on those tough days!

2022, the year of love.

My word of intention this year is LOVE. It may sound simple and boring to some, but for me this word is multi-faceted and very layered! So I am going to share with you a few changes I am going to be making in my business this year, that are going to help me fall more in love with my business, re-align with my why and purpose and ultimately more in love with myself and my life!

  • Hello a 4 day working week. I know that when I work with intention and purpose I can achieve a whole weeks worth of work into 4 days which then also leaves me more time to fill up my cup and enjoy life. So here we go, we are going to give it a go. I haven’t set boundaries or parameters on when I will do those 4 days, they may be broken up and spread out, but they will only total ~30hours per week. I left the corporate world for more yay and play and I know that this is one active step I can take in line with my word of intention for the year.

  • Sticking to my boundaries and only saying yes to work that LIGHTS ME UP! If I don’t love what I am doing and it isn’t aligned to my why or purpose then guess what? It isn’t happening!

  • Solidifying my multiple income streams to support me in working in peaceful flow, the hustle culture is real, am I right? I have been there done that and it isn’t good for my body or health so see ya later hustle, hello peaceful flow.

  • A 4-7 day break once a quarter, unplugged. No explanation necessary - LOVE!

  • Something I used to love organising for my team when I was a HR Manager, was a quarterly give-back activity, not only to tick the CSR (corporate social responsibility) box but to allow the team time away from the office to do something that feels good and helps others. I may not have a big team to do this with anymore, but I am bringing it back into my life and have put aside 2 days this year to do so.

These are just a few of the changes and plans I have for my business this year. I am coming up to being full-time in my biz for two whole years in March and the lessons I have learnt along the way are what have helped me to really deep dive and reflect on what I need to change in my business and life to get to where I want to be.

I hope this blog post provided you with some takeaways, thoughts and ideas to support you and your biz this year! I would love for you to jump into my DMs on Instagram or inbox and share with me 💖
